Melaleuca leucadendron cajaputi Oil is the volatile oil obtained by steam distillation from the fresh leaves of the plant Melaleuca leucadendron L variety cajaputi, Myrtaceae.

Cajeput Essential Oil is a lovely oil to use in the colder weather as it produces a wonderful warming sensation when applied via massage to the skin.

It's also a great way to clear a stuffy nose when used in a steam inhalation and also inhibits the bacteria in the mucus formed during colds and flu helping to slow down or halt the development cattarh and sinusitis.

It can also be be vaporised to help clear any airborne germs.

Cajeput is said to help improve your mood, increase your ability to focus and help build resistance to infection.

You may also find it helpful in treating an itchy scalp and oily skin.

Traditionally used for its antiseptic, deodorant and insect repellent properties.

Baths: blend 5-8 drops in a teaspoon of carrier oil and add to bath

Massages: add 2-3 drops of essential oils to 1 tablespoonful of carrier oil

Vaporisation: add 2-4 drops of essential oils to a burner, aroma stone or aroma stream
